I really like this game and kinda was excited at the beginning, but damn things look so bad for the Switch port đź’€

I’m so curious to see this on Switch, because it literally crashed my Xbox One all the time and I basically had to wait until the Series X came out to play the game.
I guarantee if the game is 6gb there’s a day one 25gb “patch” lol
Borderlands 2 on the Vita was “terrible”, but I could play it on the go! Here’s to hoping Borderlands 3 on the Switch is “less terrible”.
If it runs smoothly I might get this. Horrible story aside the gameplay is the best of the series. BL2 is still the best overall I think.
Gearbox could never make me excited for Borderlands ever again. And Borderlands 2 is my favorite co-op game of all time.
Imo, it wasn’t worth it on the PC. It certainly won’t be worth it on the switch.

Well dang, I can’t attach a screenshot but the eShop updated with a little note saying the proper size of the game.
12GB for the base game, 27GB with DLC.
A bit smaller than expected still, but makes more sense than 6.6GB.

I know Switch games are smaller than their bigger brethren for several reasons but I don’t think I’ve ever seen this big of a gap

Borderlands 2 runs about as well as it did on ps3 which is.. playable but not the greatest. Borderlands 3 ran like ass on the ps4 and Xbox one so I can imagine how bad it’s gonna be on switch

Shoot. I’ve been replaying the games in prep for BL3. So far all the games have ran flawless. I hope this game isn’t a mess… I wasn’t worried seeing as how the current games ran but now I’m getting antsy. I didn’t preorder but it’s not even that I just want to play the game so I really hope it’s playable
I really hope digital foundry makes a video on its performance. I already own the game on console and PC (and I love it) and while I do have a switch, I wouldn’t want to run it there because I know performance and visuals NEED to take a massive hit for it to be even possible. For those who aren’t aware, BL3 on PS4/XBOX one (which have far more power than the switch) struggled quite a bit.
Still, very curious to see how this turns out.

i only found out a week ago that it was even coming to switch and that’s because i saw a post about it 💀absolutely no marketing behind it.
I got a PS Vita years ago and it came with the Vita port of Borderlands 2. It was so absolutely terrible and unplayable. Ran at about 22 FPS max and still stuttered. If that’s any indication then I would definitely be skeptical of this one. But, we will see.

Borderlands 3 barely ran on Xbox One. I didn’t even play it until I got my Series X because it was so bad. Not sure how they got it to function on Switch.
Mortal Kombat 1 has 1 screenshot in the shop, so they can’t show you the horrible graphics it has, I fear this is the same

The size on the eshop listing is most likely just a placeholder and people are freaking out over it for no reason. IIRC the same exact thing happened with the previous Borderlands games, then they got updated once you could actually start downloading them

If i remember correctly, this is how it was for bioshock and the previous borderlands games. I had to look up people who got early copies and leaked gameplay online. Had all of the same fears and doubts you are having now. But those turned out great. hopefully this does too
