Does anyone know if the game saves will be similar to New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe? I’m not the best at these games and it was so defeating having to replay levels because I couldn’t get to the next checkpoint to save.

I went to my local Target twice this weekend to play the demo.
My impressions is that it looks and feels great, and the badge system is an absolute game changer.
But the thing that impressed me the most was the sound!
After almost 20 years of NSMB games with the same sounds, the new soundscape of this game is a breath of fresh air. The jumping sound (sounds like pulling on a guitar string!), the music changing to a different instrument with power ups, the more trippy, funky music, its all great.

Also, the fact that there’s a new Mario Voice Actor is patently obvious once you hear it in game.
