I got my masterball with the previous research. BUUUT. Imagine the 60 raids you had to do. I didn’t use just the free one. I bought remotes and premiums to finish the research. Definitely spent more than $8. So I think it’s worth it in that aspect.
It’s completely worth the price. I actually over paid for my masterball. Here is why I say it’s worth the price. There are ppl who spend money to finish the research and get this. It cost around $3.62 for 3 remote raid passes. This means that if you already paid for 6 passes you have already spent $7.24 just to remote raid. Which yes I get it there are some who were smart enough to do a raid a day which means some were actually able to just get it for free which I kept slacking on doing it so that’s on me but there are some who live in rural areas and their best chance was to only remote raid which means they most likely spent $72.41 just to get their masterball. So all of those complaining about it to me just sound like those deranged leftist who just wants every little thing handed to them. I know if I knew niantic was going to do this I would have not even spent my money on pokècoins and just bought the research instead. Save me some money and get some extra XP. Now I do wish they had chosen stardust as the main reward but beggars can’t be choosers I guess lol
The paid Master Ball is expensive, but Niantic gave you an opportunity to get it for free.

Be rushed to waste resources that would probably cost me way more than eight bucks anyways, like the excellent throws I would have thrown the shit out of some pokeballs and then had to buy more it'd be nice if the time research that I got done with would carry over to the bought research ticket like flipping excellent throws 😔

The problem with this masterball is that its nothing but XP. Had the research included other items like passes and incubators leading up to the ball wouldve made it worth to me. I guess we shouldve expected this since the timed one was all XP

In my opinion the paid ticket is easier that the timed one cause it makes you do stuff you should be doing already. The last page you can use the go plus plus to do the catches with each pokeball.

If people are legitimately doing Poke Coin giveaways, they will more than likely give out a redeemable code in order to do this. There is absolutely NO REASON why they should be asking for account details, even if they are from Niantic or claim to be from Niantic.
That being said, it sucks for the people who fell for this, but we all have to learn this from some point in our lives: You can't trust random people on the internet.

Niantic's version of "fairness" (pvp algorithm lol) is to reward the lazy and ignorant while punishing the hardcore players like me who actually work hard for what they got. We deserve it, walking in 29 degrees and winning SIXTY FREAKIN RAIDS to complete this crap.
And yes, how's 3k dust a reward for paid research? 15k would be a START…like the jackasses who put razz/pinap berries in research tasks that range from "Spin 3 stops" to "Make 3 nice throws in a row" to freakin "Catch 10 Pokémon" and it's some miniscule amount you get from spinning ONE stop. Those should all go away. Just give us Pokémon encounters, and not crappy ones. We don't care about 10 mega energy, berries, or want 5 Poké balls for making 5 nice throws. What?!

What do you need a Master Ball for? Galarian birds. That’s it. And you HAVE to have one or you’ll never catch one. $8 is fine but it’s actually psychotic to have so much research attached to it. The idea is that it’s for people who fundamentally don’t have the time to put in the game, but have the money to. The tasks are insulting and WAY too long. It could easily take someone months to get through it. Not everyone plays all day every day. Or even every day for that matter. Especially if you’re rural and have limited access to pokestops and gyms for items, eggs, etc.
