Idk about Majoras Mask at 3. It may just be that I’ve played through it a dozen or more times over the years, but even from my early runs it always felt like the game intended for you to get all of the masks before finishing the game. Like the Fierce Deity v Majora fight was the true ending, and if you’re being nudged to get all of the masks, the remainder of collectibles (heart pieces, quiver and bag upgrades, etc.) are just quick tidying up work after you’ve rolled credits.

Ironically TOTK is the one Zelda game I’m closest to 100% completing

How is Minish Cap not on here? That game has quite possibly the worst way of getting a piece of heart of all time. A lot of these entries only talk about how long it is to 100% the game, not necessarily the difficulty of 100% the game.

Okay… I am very confused by this. They talk about how Zelda 1 can’t be 100% completed easily without a strategy guide, but… for the other games… isn’t that the same thing? Like, how do you know that you’re not accidentally missing something if you don’t have a strategy guide telling you where everything is? Without one, for all you know, you’re not actually at 100% yet.
So… I think that they should be evaluated with strategy guide usage in mind. And… with a strategy guide, Zelda 1 is trivial. You can easily knock it out in a few hours.

This list is stupid. The top games have just a lot of stuff.
Boring and repetitiveness is not the same as hard.

If you include Hyrule Warriors then those are at the top, at least the original

I assume most if not all of gamerant content is AI generated

The only ones that make sense are the oracle games because you have to 100% both and botw/totk for them being as massive as they are.

The original Zelda harder than Zelda 2? What kind of a joke is this?

Typical waste of time junk from Gamerant.

Jeez. What a terrible list. While it may be difficult to beat, Zelda II is not difficult to 100%. As someone who 100%s it every few months or so, if you can beat the game, you can 100% it, and in about six hours if you even have a vague understand of where things are.
