Why is it every time Niantic releases a new feature we have to find workarounds and or glitches within the glitches to make it actually work

Give Mateo a chance for 3km eggs with hatches that hikers typically have in the MSG like slugma for example. Then, in a rarer tier, regionals that have had a global release like mr mime or corsola. I’d find mateo every day for a chance at shiny corsola.
Once sinnoh tour, for example is done, add the sinnoh regionals to the hatch pool. Maybe rotate the regionals every season, so it’s not too saturated.
We just need a reason to be excited to see Mateo and I think the global theme to him fits with regional pokemon well.
I got the shiny sneasel yesterday off the new research. Event over for me.
I still stuck at the previous route task
Niantic communication is terrible – No Mateo yesterday… So you need to spin the first stop and get a gift from it. Then if the last stop is a Gym you need to tap on it to get Mateo to appear. Why not fix the system so that as long as you have a gift in your bag and that Mateo appears like Zygard cells should! ~Stupid Niantic… and cells are nerfed.
If the route ends in a gym you need to click on the gym as Mateo will not be visible.
If the route ends in a regular pokestop then Mateo will be standing on the map visible.
In my experience at least.
how do you clear out the crappy 2km eggs for long enough to collect the awesome eggs?

Nice shiny find, I am working on the eggs also. Didn't get much done yesterday, was snowing and turned into rain. I feel like they're going to add to Mateo, which is sad because routes are all messed up. The cells are nasty to get, they're getting better past day for me personally. Funny thing is, I think they knew he would be buggy and only released the gift exchange portion. And ya, that reverse the routes every single time is terrible.

When you got to the bend before that last stretch even happened you can see Mateo behind the gym appear temporarily before disappearing he is most likely just in the other side of the gym
How many cells can you get per day? Will doing the same route multiple times in a day give cells, or is it capped? ty
I cant find cells after routes too, these glitches Mae it hard to stay interested
There are kids accounts that can't add friends, any friends, so gifting is not an option for those accounts. I think this might be an option for them to actually get scatterbug and 7 km eggs. Other than that it is more convenient to exchange friend codes as you know which regions to target.
I get the 3 cells in about 3-5 routes, pretty easy for me. I only need 10 more cells for my complete form. Will get it on Sunday, so hyped!

2 routes, no cells. Mateo appeared for a split second but didnt know to click on the gym 😢. Did get a shiny sneasel tho through research
Maybe, it is a glich related to "inverse the direction ", always, that by make mistake I start a ruth in the reversed direction, I miss the cell in that ruth.

I'm at 157 cells for final form and like I said before I'm probably averaging 5-6 routes overall per 3 cells. If you were expecting to get final form Zygarde only doing 250 routes then I can tell you that it will probably take about 400-500 routes to get there. If you are in an area where you can't grind on a bike/car or don't have enough routes, then it will take longer. You should still do it since the rare candy rewards make it worthwhile.
