Better than paying 1.99 UR garaunteed YGO duel links packs- 40+ dollars on Yu-Gi-Oh Duel links packs for random pack openings.
Cost TWICE AS MUCH IN DUEL MASTER THAN DUEL LINKS FOR A PACK… :c
And this mentality spread into the console era after early 10's…
These transactions the main mechanisms that are hurting games like Yu-Gi-Oh mobile/online games, Pokémon Go, and even games at the time like overwatch 1 initially on beginning patches; UNTIL they made it healthier in gameplay promotion to work for your skins.
(Why even in the ISO-Moba games like League of Legends~ i got so frustrated with cosmetics until- they made it more healthier even quittiny after season 5 of gameplay.) [and it got even healthier in League cosmetics aftwards.]

These game/mobile/console/P.C companies got to ACTUALLY CONCENTRATE ON THEIR FUCKING DEMOGRAPHICS AND TRIANGULATE WHAT IS ACTUALLY NOT PREDATORY IN TRANSACTIONS. >:p
80+ tasks and didn't get the Shiny. Was at home and did it. Biggest pain was the 10 Bergmite and Snorunt tasks! 😢

For me it was like all the grinding of community day without the fun and excitement. If I had a few more hours to burn I would have probably walked away with more but with three young kids there’s only so much time on a Saturday I can dedicate to the game. I walked away with a hundo Cryogonal and a shiny snorunt so not a total bust but it still felt like a bit of a drag grinding all those encounters without getting a shiny to keep me going
I'm sorry I feel like I've gotta call this out a bit: Your previous video was complaining that with the paid ticket, we were essentially paying for a shiny. Then when you didn't get a shiny, you go 'What the hell did I pay for?'. It kinda comes off like you were going to be upset either way, because you either had to pay for a shiny, or paid money and didn't even get the shiny. Reality is, you won't always get the shiny, even if you pay for extra encounters. Sucks when it happens, but it happens. That's stats. That said, I agree with you that niantic should be more open about the shiny rates when charging for something, given that 'increased chance' has meant and can mean a lot of different things.
I caught 24 zero shiny. My son caught 2, the second one was shiny for him so there is that.

103 cryogonal catches with paid event and got 0 shiny, but I did get 1 shiny Dergmite in the wild lol

1st question why was the event tix $5 for you it was $1.99 here in the continental states? I got 1 shiny cryo in 153 encounters and 2 shiny snorunt, I’m upset I didn’t get a bergmite I went hard since I still need that one and nothing smh. I’m dreading sinnoh tour now since it’s free global these are the shiny rates we’ll be expecting at best. Personally I’d rather pay the ticket price and know if I grind I’m gonna rack up shinies cause that’s the fun of these events instead of spinning my wheels for 8 hours to get like 3-5.

I didn’t bury the ticket I instead did 130 field research tasks came away with 4 shinys and 2 hundos out of a 4 hour grind
