just base teams off what you see from your own algorithms meta and anti meta thats usually the only way i make it to expert or legend … the algorithms are inevitable anyway
Ultra League sucks now after this new season, Great League is now fun for me and Master League I assume will be the same as always aside from Rayquaza now being worse

I feel this video fr. I’ve been getting so frustrated getting so close to getting the 4th reward of rare candies, but i always lose or get 1-3 rewards. PvP battle does require some skill but a good part of it, is depending on luck.
Hmm IDK, I think you maybe could've won the first game if you got enough energy for the Icy Wind, it would've been close though…
I was using walrein, giratina and cresselia in ultra league did really goood for 3 sets and then I was hard countered and lost 10 battles in a row.
Edit: I started my gbl sets for today and lost 5 in a row again, now I have lost 15 battles in a row 😂😂😂

I’m still on level 1 cos three battles in a row there were issues. Lag on the charge moves for the first two, then something happened which was new I’d never seen before. I posted a short of the issue, reported it and haven’t played since.
This is a great example of how awesome Niantic is!

Hi Poke, to manipulate the algorithym try not chosing meta pokemon. In my experience if you choose meta you battle meta. Also if you choose something normal type with normal type fast move as lead you might not get hard countered as often. Hope this helps 🙂 the algo drives me mad also.
Another problem that I faced was that the box in the Pokémon go shop. They tried to trick us with the price of the boxes. As the community day box is originally 1350 coins. When I got into the shop, it said community day box’s price decreased from 2600 coins to 1350 coins. Couldn’t believe that.

Really dont get the hate on GBL. Yes its obviously RNG influenced but theres still skill involved. I also see so many complain about MMR here? Is MMR so hard to understand?
Reminds me of the days of WoW where people with 2k elo always complained it was not their skill but the system that kept them down. Pretty hilarious.

In all honesty Ultra League has a lot of flyers this season and Charm Granbull is also more common for some reason.
Been playing everyday for 17 seasons and it’s the same predicable shit every day 1st set is 100% loss next set positive next set loss then positive then negative again and they say there no algorithm if that’s the case why am I stuck in the same pattern for 17 seasons
Imagine how much they could shake things up and give the game new life by simply letting us unlock a second fast move. All the main games you have 4 moves so why not here? Imagine leading Chestnaut into Swampert. They swap into Charizard but instead of swapping out you just switch from vine whip to smackdown. You could mix up the moves to throw off their counts so it would no longer be just a memory game. It would change strategies and matchups and perhaps add some actual skill into the game.
Maybe try to adapt ???
Yeah same here. I've redirected my focus on this game to playing it as intended, catching and playing with friends. Although I still despise Niantic, it's been a rough but enjoyable journey with this community.

Wish matchmaking would just be random, no need to have this algorithm crap. It’s probably a ploy to get you to grind more to make different teams because you will never find that perfect team. Or worse, they do it because everyone’s a snowflake and everyone deserves to be at a 50% win rate smh
The algorithm is 100% real. Anyone who thinks certain battlers purposefully get more favorable matchups is out of their mind.
I’ve been getting hard countered more this season than ever before. I didn’t buy the subscription this month. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.
I’ve been trying to fight this algorithm for the past few days and it’s infuriating. Idk what’s happened to PvP but it feels worse now than ever. Whatever I do I get hard countered. Funny is after I build a team to counter skeldrige they no longer show up. Then build a team to counter poliwrath or greninja and poof they disappear. I’m fed up with the PvP side of the game. I use to spend a lot of time dust and effort on it. Not so much anymore. The game is badly unbalanced all the way down to move spamming some of these Pokemon are way too overpowered. Rant over.
I get hard countered in the front like 80% of the time it sucks no matter what team I pick or what order I put them this game hates me I've made it to ace the last 2 seasons but can't get any higher it's like the game just really doesn't want you to win

Battle league is so rigged , I’ll be getting countered so I switch teams and I start facing whole different group of Pokémon 😂
The hardest counter for venusaur is my opinion Dragalge. You can farm it complete down without using shields and if you do it right you leave that match up with 100% energy and less hp on your end

bad connection for minimal gameplay, cheaters, and its too tough to keep track of IVS and moves and all that crap. still fun enough though
i would prefer the chance of myslef going 0-25 otd. rather thab the algorthirm. id rather be hard coutnered 3 ways than countered by the alogrithm

Bro, I swear I was like let me take my reshiram off my team. And then the next battle had a gensect which is double weak to fire and as far as I know two other Pokémon that fire is super effective against. The algorithm man..

Bro I’ve been losing horrendously since Wednesday idk what’s going on on like I’ve tried various teams that I’ve used to win but all hard countered smh this js demotivated me to play gon for the rest of the week
After months of hiatus I returned to GBL a couple of weeks ago. Every single day, if my team more or less worked for that day, on the day next EVERYTHING hard counters it. If I manage to get another team to counter the hard counter, the next day, all hard counters to my new team.
I literally play with a different teams every day, even if my ELO remains the same.
Today, during the first sets of the holiday cup, I noticed plenty of vigoroths. So I added anti-vigoroths to my team. From there until the very last set, the vigoroths DISAPPEARED.
The fact that Poké AK does this for OUR entertainment is just gold. We all love you Poké AK! 😍 😆
