Absolutely amazing game, especially if you were a fan of Rogue Squadron on N64 and Gamecube. Loved this game.

It’ll be interesting to see how this one does. Ace Combat is kind of niche; the bulk of people interested in it almost certainly already have it for another platform, and it’s already 5 years old and I doubt there’s a ‘long tail’ to capture.
Don’t get me wrong, the game is super rad, one of the better/more fun ‘flight sim’ type of games (less ‘sim’ to it, more arcade and better sense of speed and spectacle) and they do some really neat stuff involving weather, and the super-aircraft are really cool. I’m just thinking out loud here about the value proposition for the studio that is doing the work.

Really odd that it comes to the Switch after all these years and I wonder how it will do performance-wise. If that’s decent enough, Ace Combat 7 is a fun game with an amazing soundtrack.
Some moments in-game and the associated music never fail to give me goosebumps. It’s really, really, really good!

This game rocks. If you don’t think you’ll like a flight sim game.. this is not that. This is an arcade game. It is an absolute blast.
