It looks a little jank but I embrace how beat em ups have resurfaced in the last few years.

Also, they have one punch sound effect, and they *will* use it for everything. Even punching a mech.

I’ve been waiting 40 years for a good GI Joe game. I don’t think this will be it, but it looks ok.

“TMNT did well with a new retro styled beat em up. We should try doing one but with half the budget.”

  4. ShinobiGotARawDeal

    Destro’s never looked sassier.

I feel like GI Joe would be better suited to a Contra-style run and gun.

I do appreciate the Cobra troopers being “knocked out” with stars above their heads instead of dead though (even when shot), that’s a fun touch.

  6. It looks like Shredder’s Revenge reskinned as G.I. Joe. Seems kind of interesting.

  7. ProjectShadow316

Looks like a re-skinned Shredder’s Revenge, but much, MUCH shittier.

  8. pocketMagician

It looks pretty rough, its like they got someone who read about pixel art in a book once to make the sprites.

  9. chase_half_face

It’s interesting that they went with Ripcord instead of a more unique Joe, like Shipwreck or Flint.

And now you know, and knowing is half the battle…

Wasn’t the point of this cheaply animated show, Transformers and I think Gobots as a means to advertise toys?

  12. Already way better than another generic third person shooter with Fortnite aesthetic.

  13. I could go for a rail style shooter. House of dead style GI Joe.

This has looked like shit since they first revealed it. What a cash grab slog. Theres no trace of the polish or love that was found in Streets of Rage 4 of TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge.

I’m going to play it, but I wish we got something more along the lines of the Punisher arcade game from the 90s, or maybe the NES’s Bayou Billy.

I wasn’t a fan of Duke being in a silly, goofy mood and punching a H.I.S.S.

I was excited until I saw that gameplay, PASS!
