On one hand, it was expected, considering the first movie’s success.
On the other hand, they dropped the release date of April **3rd**, 2026 😀

Top of my list is Luigi’s Mansion, so we give Luigi more time to shine. They might do Mario World since they teased Yoshi, but I don’t know how they make a story out of that. Otherwise a big favorite of mine would be if they did Superstar Saga.

I just hope that the new Mario movie has a deeper story/plot. it was the only thing missing me for in last years movie

I hear they’re not going to release the actual sequel in the west, and instead just reskin the Doki Doki Panic movie

That’s roughly three years between the last movie and the next. It isn’t unlikely that they started development of it before the actual movie release date- still, they must be busting ass to try to get it out so quickly. Three years for an animated movie is very quick turnaround.
