Edit: I can’t be bothered to keep saying the same thing. So I found a Youtube video for you all to watch. [Youtube video ](https://youtu.be/mGO64_he1AI?si=VxQs2NiV32rSg4ls)
With other platforms, games normally see a price drop after a year. With Nintendo you never see this. Also Nintendo games at launch are over priced. They cost no where near as much to make as triple A games on other platforms. Nintendo games are small and simple which is why they are so popular. Not to mention the Switch is less powerful then any flagship phone within the last few years. This makes their console far cheaper to manufacture. This is probably why they have stuck with it for so long. To save money. Which doesn’t make sense since Nintendo sell more consoles then any other platform. That and cheaper to make games, it’s not like they are scraping pennies to stay alive 😂
It’s well known that Nintendos lawyers don’t get a break. They mite aswell own houses next to the court rooms. But maybe people would be less likely to pirate their games if Nintendo treated consumers better. I strongly disagree with pirating games. I want to get into game development and I would be upset if my work was being released for free. If everyone pirated we wouldn’t have games. But Nintendo don’t exactly help themselves. People are less likely to buy a switch to then pay £60 for each game (Nintendo exclusives ofc), even when they are years old. Especially when these games are a similar style to indie studios and they are selling for half Nintendos price on other platforms. Like Kena, Palworld or Last Epoch. All from small companies but overall on par with Nintendo. I know Palworld does copy designs from Pokémon. But Pokémon copied Dragon quest so who cares 😂
I am not here to crap on people’s choice of platform. Your choice of plastic is up to you. The only people continuing console wars are like the few people who are still trying to fight in Ww2, not realising it ended 70 years ago 😂 I just don’t like companies abusing their position. It’s clear as day this is what Nintendo are doing. They invest so little into their platform. Their online service is the same as Xbox live on original Xbox. 20 years ago! They stay with the same hardware to the point where emulators can run their games better then native hardware. (This is probably what struck the lawsuit as people may see less of a reason to buy into their ecosystem). Like Mortal Combat 1 is basically unplayable on switch and it’s a fighting game. These aren’t exactly the most power intensive games. If Nintendo wanna charge high prices then they should be putting more money into creating a better using experience. Switch is not a bad console but at this point in time I think Nintendo should be doing more. Especially when they are making such high margins.
That’s my thoughts anyway. Do you think Nintendo should be more fair to consumers? Maybe price their games more fairly, invest more into their software, release switch 2 sooner then they have so games run better???
