I remember trying to do this in that one season where we got 1.5x EXP from friendship and got around 5mill and almost skipped level 43 😂

Kind of fked up because we can't communicate with each other if our friends were randomly added online or through poke genie. The person opening the last gift wins and the one that is on the receiving end has to use a lucky egg for just 200k exp while the person doing the gift opening gains massive amount of exp on 1 lucky egg. I've noticed friends holding onto the last gift and we just never send the last gift because we want that massive gain so we never become best friends and that 200k exp sits until someone sends out that last gift.
I have 7 people almost ready to hit best friend with. Issue is, I don’t know them they’re all off poke genie 😂. Either way I’ll get the Xp within a week of one another. This was actually a good reminder.
I know lucky eggs are premium items but the amount of times I get best friends with someone there's enough time in between for me not to care that I'm using lucky eggs every time

Personally I just use an egg everytime I hit 3 or 4 star friends. Costs more but saves me the headache of setup.

Before the update, I use to send out random, 1 star raid invites as a clue tgat I was going to either open gift OR get the last day by completing the raid.
in all reality, lvl 100 is the cap in the main games, so i can totally see it making it to that point, eventually.
I'm stuck on getting 50 lucky trades… I won't get the trades done before getting enough xp for to get to lvl 49.
This explain why trainer with very high level have very weak pokemon.
They gain XP but hv neglect level up pokémon for raid

There is a discord server that focuses on opening the gift to reach ultra or best friends on either Wednesday or Sunday @4:00 PM EST. I've been able to get 8+ mill XP off that one lucky egg using that server
