When the youngsters of our region set out on their journey, they’re granted the options for their first partner pokemon, the first being Gnawty the squirrel.
Gnawty will be a life long friend and a pal if you enjoy long hikes, they use the branch in their tail as a walking stick because surprisingly they prefer to march on the ground. (Grass)
The next choice is Trackmule, a fiery donkey who loves to run, due to his size he isn’t mountable but they do offer to carry things for you once you’ve earned their trust. When they run, the dots on their side burn bright with heat, they love to race their trainers. (Fire)
Finally there’s Dorcelain the whale, don’t let the image discourage you, it may look as if it’s breaching water, but Dorcealain are found on land, their skin is hard as a rock and heavy all the same, which makes them hard to float, which is why they balance on their fins. (Water)
Do be careful entering the grass as you’ll often find a possibly sleeping Passum, the playing possum pokemon. They always sleep during the day, but don’t let it’s eyes fool you, they sleep often and if you wake them they aren’t the most pleasant to be touched. (Normal)
A little further you’ll find Meloink, an odd little pig who’s body is composed of watermelon. They’re rather playful and enjoy rolling around, but be careful, if startled it’ll spray you in its natural fruit juices. (Grass/water)
Living in the amneros region, a rather rambunctious pokemon brought from Paldea has made a home for itself in Amnian homes. Treated as pests, they were often treated poor and ran out by feline pokemon, causing them to adapt a fighting type to attempt to make their homes a little more permanent. (Normal/Fighting)
Be wary of entering the forests of Amneros at night, Legends speak of the terrifying Whendighoul, a ghost pokemon who lures it’s prey by transforming it’s body to look like others of it’s kind, it can even mimic their sounds and even human voices. (Ghost/Dark)
The forest isn’t so bad, just do not affect it’s ecosystem or you may come face to face with the legendary Willowander, it’s body is a walking ecosystem and protects forests and wildlife around the world. Most sightings are found in areas that are suffering to mass deforestation, and will often replant and grow a forest seemingly overnight. (Grass/Water)
