Jesus Christ a 4? For context IGN gave Suicide Squad Kills the justice league a 5.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this clown jumped into this game without knowing anything.

Woof. Not good at all. Didn’t expect a ton of sales on this obscure sequel, but I figured it had cult potential. Other reviews aren’t much better.

An IGN review about a Nintendo games with a ton of water. Is anyone surprised?

That’s sad to hear. Endless Ocean was a wonderful experience. Now, he mentions that creatures are strangely pacifistic- that has ALWAYS been the case, even in 2 you didn’t really need to worry about dying.
I wish they had just stuck with handcrafted levels. I’ll probably still give it a try because I care about that franchise so much.

I think this review would have been better if the person played the other games. This is not a Subnautica clone. Be interesting to see how it goes saleswise. I personaly have not played the other games. However I do feel this game was reviewed unfairly. I would be keen to know the general consensus post release.
trainercatlady
is it weird that the score makes me *more* excited for the game grumps to play it?
PeaceBull
Oh man I’ve been seeing this game in headlines and I thought it was a new Luminous puzzle game and was hyped.
In one fell swoop I found out it isn’t and that whatever it is sucks.
PhoenoFox
This game was the coup de grace, so to speak, during the Nintendo ~~undies~~ indies it debuted in.
It was their “but wait, there’s ONE more surprise!” Moment.
Damn.
edit – whooops

I didn’t realise it was all procedurally generated areas, and that sounds like what killed it.

That sucks. I never play multiplayer games but was looking forward to this one.

Seems like they dont really understand the point of the game IMO. So many complaints about the story when I dont think ANYONE expect this game to have anything resembling a story. It’s like if they slammed vampire survivors for having a poor narrative when the one it has is non existent. Thats not the point of the game at all so why harp on it?
Nacklins
Everytime I hear procedurally generated I nope the fuck out, unless it’s a rougelike.
Nyarlathotep-chan
Procedural generation is never gonna be better than handcrafted worlds. We’ve seen this proven time and time again. Starfield is the most egregious example as of late. It’s sad to see this follow the same design choice.
I remember playing Endless Ocean on the Wii and having such a good time.
KazooButtplug69
I bought it today so I can eat some gummies and work on meditating while playing. I’ll let y’all know how it goes. I’m expecting to literally zone out in this game.

Knowing IGN, there was too much water
wyattlikesturtles
That’s unfortunate, I didn’t know it was procedurally generated, I usually hate that shit
