First Championship in Nintendo World Championships NES Edition is over – how do you feel about the game now, what was your placement?

The first Championship is over and I have to be honest: I am quite dissapointed by Nintendo.

The marketing made the game look like it's made for speedrunners but it is missing essential features:

Why can we not scroll through the leaderboards but only see the times near us?
Why can I not see the times from my friends?
Why can I not challange a ghost from the leaderboards, or at least the ghost from 1st place?

And worst of all: Only challanges that appeared in the weekly championship show a best placement.

I always loved speedrunning but did so only casually. With Nintendo World Championships NES Edition I thought I could finaly challange other people on the leaderboards without recording my gameplay, setting up a timer and posting the times to a community driven site.

The reality is that yes, I can race myself, and maybe if I am lucky Super Mario Legend Challange will appear in the championship mode some time, but it is not what I had hoped for.
