o7 I wish him all the best! He put together a couple very special games. Part of me wonders if he’s going to Nintendo or possibly Mercury Steam since he’s based in Spain.
I also get the feeling that this decision could have been spurred on by Ubisoft saying no to more Mario + Rabbids after their vocal disappointment in the performance of Sparks of Hope.
*Edit He’s not based out of Spain, I was incorrect

He sounds like a games idealist. Not surprised he’s leaving Ubisoft.

And with him, Rayman’s last hope

Well, Ubisoft is officially ruined and nothing coming from them in the future will be good.
Awesome guy, clearly very passionate and the reason the Mario+Rabbids games were that good. Hope he finds a better studio that cares about good games. Would be nice if he went to Nintendo.

he was clearly so passionate about those games. it would be great if he made it to nintendo and got to work directly with them but he seems the type to do well wherever he ends up

I still remember when he cried tears of joy when he was complimented by Miyamoto. I adore both Mario+Rabbids games (apparently Sparks Of Hope is my 3rd most played Switch game) and wish the best for him in whatever he does next!

He sounds like a perfect fit for Nintendo. I hope they hire him 😊

That sucks, both those games are awesome

Shame. He and the team under his direction managed to be a 3rd party trusted with a licence and made a damn good xcom game in the Mario world. The got that Nintendo philosophy and managed to work collaboratively with Nintendo.
Be nice if they snapped him up anddelveired a third in the series.

The literal only salvageable thing of ubisoft. Welp, the second greatest mario RPG franchise is dead.
TowerOfLondon2024
I hope Nintendo hire this man.
He seems to genuinely enjoy games for being games.

Mario & Rabbids would have been great if not for the Rabbids. The gameplay is great, but having to watch stupid Rabbid characters run around and act goofy all the time gets old, and is dumb. If it was just ALL Mario characters, and more than just a couple to choose from, then the game would be a 10/10 from me.
