I called them 45s because they get 15 notches each line.

The percent thing came about from the early days where you just take how many IVs you have and divide by 45. Plenty of places and people were using them so it stuck around. I came from the original games where you didn’t really track IVs unless they were maxed out or you have a specific build in mind. Here it’s just an easy way of getting rid of the pokemon you never really wanted and have too many of
