Lost in Random wasn’t the greatest game of all time, but it had a truly unique and fun combat system that had some great unexplored areas it could go. It also had really interesting and fun characters and dialog.
And this game seems to just throw all that away for a generic Hades clone. Who knows, it could still be a good game, but it just seems like they’re throwing away a ton of potential and interesting gameplay for yet another topdown action roguelike. And that’s just a shame.

The combat looks better, that was one of my issues with the 1st game.

Wow another title announced on gamescom that from interesting and original becomes just another clone in sequel (yes Chernobylite I’m looking at you)

So the combat looks better, yet the perceptive, and loss in graphic fidelity from the first makes it worse.

An unexpected surprise but a welcome one. Lost in Random was fantastic. I can’t wait to see more of this.
I was super excited until I saw “rogue-lite” on their site. I just can’t stand that genre and it seems every dev HAS to make one for some reason. There are so many games that I bet would be really fun as curated experiences instead. 🙁

i am glad i am not alone on here on how the darn change destroyed the unique gameplay just formula of the game – its change into a rougelike clone – no offense to rougelike i like them at times if done right, but i digress, the change made me stunned and sad man… what the heck i just fell in love with this game not to a fan level but i just love it. its a special own little game that was (note: to really hammer it in here, these types of games its genre barely gets any love and barely are any more games of it out there) because of the creativity of unique formula the developers have made.. and its being thrown out the window.. – just why?? why do this?? i had already left my thoughts on their video, the article i found out about and now there discord into hoping they hear me out and i even told them to hear others out as well cause i am not alone on this.
… dont change something good that you had that made your custoners fell in love with it for reasons just to please a tiring genre that is over saturated and popular to over being done – again no offense its just too overwhelming on the rougelike genre.. just to fit in.. dont do that please dont think you need to do this as a dev to believe people will like your art because at that point it makes it apparent you dont really truly believe in your art and it makes me feel like crap knowing that some devs do this for that reason like no.. be creative dont chase something that fits on its own thing.
anyway for me i fell inlove with it because it reminds me of my childhood movie that i was inlove with got me into Gothic stuff to be honest and thats tim burton nightmare before Christmas, corpse bride and of course coraline like without tims movie i wouldn’t have known or loved coraline nor this either. so i hope the developers listen to us..
