I belive ya poke. Ive seen players with extra shields or they swap with pokemon with already to go charge moves. This is just bs. I would encourage everyone to do live streams and title the streams Busting cheaters in PVP.
Turn based pvp would fix a lot of issues ngl, that and more options like 1 pokemon each or 2 or 3 up to 6 and maybe even 2v2’s and stuff aswel

The main issue is niantic add more and more 'tasks' on a child friendly game that playing it is like working full time. around 80 % of players i know had given up. delete the game and not ever returning.

They don’t believe in it while they’re sitting at Ace-Veteran every season, so they clearly lack the experience. I’ve hit Legend for 9 seasons, the fixed algorithm absolutely does exist.
Alot of people don't see this but before I say this let me remind you pokemon is a business, Niantic is a business. What makes a business more money? One event or two? Is it entirely impossible that Niantic puts out lack luster events on purpose just to build hype for the great redo's and make money off of both? If your answer is it's impossible than you clearly don't understand the concept of corporate greed.

This is the onky way to treat gbl. Play to rank 20 at the very beginning of the season or close to it, then wait for a stardust event. During that event, win 1 battle (premium if you can) and lose the next 4 on purpose with 10cp mons. Before you know it you're at 1200 and can easily rack off 5 wins in a row several times against newbies for even better stardust. Only reason I would ever try to climb now is for the pikachu libre if you don't have it already.
Edit – I got over 400k dust in a day doing this once.
Down the animation time in the battles amd they could add your suggestions without changing how long it takes as much

Niantic is a casino and it works exactly like they want it too! It is not broken
After getting a higher end phone i dont have stuttering or lag as much as the phone before. GBL seems better now but I know thats just smoke and mirrors
Six-Pix-3 would be even worse with the peek-a-boo exploit. If they just fixed the exploits and made at least one season per year cumulative instead of competitive (600, or so, wins to achieve Expert), that would fix 90% of the problems. And they don’t even have to fix the glitches OR the algorithm to do those. Fixing the algorithm and the quality would put GBL into a group with the top online games out there.
It’s so difficult playing in GBL now because of the constant counters. Definitely makes it more difficult.
Screw this busted a** game! Lost 200 elo yesterday with frame drops and skipping. One battle lagged out, had to close and reopen, of course it cost me a 3-2 set.
Just go in and quit every match you get a ton more stardust now and requires next to no effort lol I try to win maybe the first one tops

Can you imagine a serious game like WoW having any of these glitches? It would be shut down immediately for investigation, and they'd get it fixed. Any other company would!

The Gbl is in such a horrible state that I have to force myself even to get to rank 20.
Rank 1 – 20 is easy with tanking, but that doesn't feel like real battling. There are so many issues like severe frame drops, "weak" connection, and many bugs, for example, yesterday someone could use his quick attacks while i was doing a charge attack, he kept on attacking me until I was done with the charge attack minigame
5 min battle 25 x a day 7 days a week…. no pokecoins or anything of worth for rewards. its not worth it. the lag the freezes the cheating just to much
