Yikes, hard pass. I tried this game a while ago and the core story is painfully, agonizingly bad. Supposedly, the expansions get really good, but only if you’re willing to commit hours and hours into slogging through the main story and grindy leveling. And even then, you have to put up with the terribly dated combat system, clunky UI, empty open world, and boring gameplay.

Ive got a serious question for WHO THE ACTUAL FUCK are those 10y “late to the party” ports for?
Im dead serious! The Ezio Trilogy or Gothic I&II (Im a fan of those, but Id never buy for Switch, unless memes, since its super buggy) and many others. There is just no way that they are actually selling well, especially that Switch price is mostly 5-10x more than same games with more stable performance and better graphics that will run on very old PC/ laptop.
EDIT. You need to be mental to buy Switch for any multiplayer experience. Besides maybe Mario Kart or Splatoon its a really bad time most of the time and network features like PMs or VC are not existing 😀

I wonder if this means they are going to squeeze down the assets (and commit to doing that with future expansions) or there will be an NVME on the next switch (I guess it sounds like NVME?) – file size is a huge issue with MMOs. FFXIV is like an 80 gig installation. ESO just chews through drive space.
