Meh, I would have just wasted them on something else. Something else that didn’t have Kirby in it, so objectively worse.

Time shared with friends and loved ones playing Final Destination is not a waste of time.

If you’re so sorry, then give us Waluigi you coward

He says sorry for wasting our time.
We say thank you for making one of the best crossovers of all time.

If you’re engaging in a hobby in a healthy way and having fun, that’s not wasting time. It’s literally good for you.

Some of my best friends from college were made while playing ultimate with the guys on my floor. We’re still good friends five years later. Not a minute wasted imo.

Time spent beating up my loved ones with Kirby is time well spent

No need to apologize Sakurai. Every version of Smash Bros (especially Ultimate) got me and my super introverted friends to have regular get togethers. We had lots of fun.

I went to Smash tournaments for 5 years and met people all over the country and world.
One great thing about Smash is the in-person culture compared to other chronically online games.
Not a waste of time at all.

Eh, it’s somewhere around 2 hours for me. I never figured out what was so great about Smash Brothers.

I once canceled a class just so I could play more Smash.

This reminds me of something I saw yesterday while scrolling the all-time best for r/comics.
He’s sorry because he created the monsters he ought to destroy after beating that couple on that KOF arcade cabinet.

He should see my ex’s Steam profile, dude games like 90 hours a week

To be clear, he was making a joke. I don’t think he’s actually wasted people’s times.
And the insight he’s giving is a good one. Because yes, from one perspective, games that give you more content are giving you more value, but games that demand more of your time are also demanding you give more to them. So from that perspective, time needed to enjoy a game is an extra cost on top of the monetary cost.
So while I do think Sakurai is mostly making a joke, I’m glad he’s self-aware enough to understand this concept.

Those have been some of the happiest hours of my life. I think he needs to consider the fact that many people playing this game are doing so with other people, namely friends. Smash always brought me, my friends, and cousins together over the years. It’s always always a good time when we get a chance to sit together and play. So don’t apologize Sakurai, you brought a lot of people a lot of joy.

I just want an apology for no Waluigi playable.
Say sorry for Steve
