Man that’s a bummer. I was thinking of getting both digital and physical copies but it turns out even the physical version is a digital download like what they did for mvc2 on the ps3.
Edit: just took a look at the link, it seems like the switch version with be a download code and the ps4 version will still be a disc.

Oh get fucked, Capcom. Story of the gen, bare minimum Switch physical for Europe, if any kind of physical at all.
The amount of times I’ve had to import from Asia and America just to get physical Capcom games on Switch is absurd. Street Fighter, Mega Man, Phoenix Wright. These are not obscure, region-marooned games, they’re some of Capcom’s most historic and popular franchises. Globally popular.

Physical media is dying. It’s not good. While it’s nice to be able to just download your game and play within 15 minutes without waiting in lines for your physical copy like the ancient days, it also means they, the eShops can be shut off at a whim and you’ve lost your games. Nintendo already did it with the 3DS.
