Regardless of how you might feel about Yamauchi’s later decisions for the company it’s insane how he turned the whole business around. He had to insight to catch on to video games before they even had a name. Leave luck to heaven indeed

I had my students read, highlight and answer questions about Nintendo’s history just last week and we all found it funny how they got their foot in the door for “mechanical robotics” with the Ultra Hand… simple but started the push into electronics.
135 is an achievement! I always smile when I see people learn how old Nintendo ***really*** is. I’m a bit of a Nintendo history geek so I knew this, but the companies history is so cool.

That’s why there are Nintendo Switch 2 rumors going around this year. Nintendo does celebrate their birthday, except the 100th. Unless they don’t announce anything.
