The best part about the newer Zelda games IMO.

I was often dissapointed in how most games tend to have a single individual solution to the problem at hand to progress. There were so many puzzles in BOTW/TOTK (Especially the latter) where I’m sure I came up with some ridiculous physics shenanigans to reach what I wanted instead of the “intended” solution.

It’s so refreshing to have a game that encourages creativity in this way.

I wonder if anyone else is totally avoiding any and all videos and discussions o this game so you can go in “totally blind” and enjoy the Discovery aspect.

One of the greatest things from the BOTW games was discovering a new trick.

Of course later you realize everyone else has been doing 100x better tricks.. but still  when you discover it and get a first time thrill. 😉 that’s the best.

Found a dumped version online and played it on my modded switch.

Played for about 3-4 hours now and can easily say that it might be 2024’s game of the year.

my biggest gripe with the new open world zeldas is that the rewards for any of these puzzles is always generic and underwhelming.

like, i do miss opening a chest and finding a magic cape or a cane or an ice rod or a trade quest item or an upgrade. now its just rupees, a weapon that will break in minutes or some pickup. why even take care of the sidequest
