    >When Link gets stolen away, it’s Zelda’s time to shine! Play as the princess of Hyrule on a grand adventure to save her kingdom in the Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom game. Available now, only on the Nintendo Switch system.

More like Tri’s time to shine, amirite?

I guess I just done see the framerate issues everyone else does. Is this because I’m older and played on older systems that to me had crazy slow framerates? I do feel bad for those getting headaches as a result.

The frame rate is awful even with overclocking which tells me there’s something very wrong with this engine. The fact that they can’t achieve a stable frame rate on a top down game is embarrassing. Shame on you Nintendo

I’ve been having a blast!!!! I got Covid when this released so I spent the last four days playing nonstop.

This game is delightful AF. I played the first few hours last night. My kids and I were laughing our heads off at all the things the people in Castle Town said.

Not nearly as unplayable as pokemon Scar/Vio

I’m having an amazing time with this. I grew up with Link’s Awakening so I loved that remaster. This having the same artwork just makes me love it even more. Also, finally playing as Zelda is just “chef’s kiss”.

Sure, the framerate isn’t always perfect, but to me it makes zero difference. Absolute banger for Nintendo.

I’m taking my time exploring some areas before now reaching the 3rd dungeon and I’m finding it hilarious that this game really is just a regular game in the franchise from Zelda’s point of view; as in Link had a whole-ass adventure around Hyrule before the start of the actual game. Yes Zelda gets rescued then but the adventure isn’t over yet.

  10. I still kinda don’t get why they didn’t call it legend of link? Like obviously for the inside joke for the fans but also because if this game does well, then they could do a whole Legend of Link sub series that plays like this does.

I liked it a lot. As my first game in the franchise, it was a delight seeing all the new enemies and locations around the map. I’m almost done, and I only didn’t like one Dungeon. The rest were great. I give this game a 9/10.

Been having a wonderful time with this game. 😊

I love the game, but always forget that I can move echoes with bind. Also, I don’t think it’s clear enough that >!water echoes work next to all types of water, including ice/snow!< I know the game is all about experimentation, but a little more guidance would be nice.

As a lifelong fan who has enjoyed both 2D and 3D, old school and modern alike, this game is phenomenal. A standout, frankly, and I’m grateful to have been able to play it. I’ve beaten it, with an almost 100% profile, and it’s a fascinating look into the early section of the timeline. I’m almost positive this is meant to be directly after Skyward Sword in the timeline, as a new second game in the series. It has something for every type of Zelda fan, and I feel like it’s a must have title in the franchise.

  15. I completely 100%’d the game last night and it was very enjoyable! I would not mind more 2d Zelda games like this in the future. The return to the classic Zelda formula really did it for me (though I would still like to see the return of dungeon items).

I adore this game so much. The variety and creativity in combat is incredible! I hope it does really well so we get more games with Zelda as the lead, and really hoping its success transitions to the 3D games and give us some dual Zelda and Link leads 🤩

I played most of Zelda games (except 1, 2, Oracles) and EoW is definitely in my Top-5.

I did not think I’d like the combat as much as I have, but goddamn. I generally don’t lean towards a mage-like or spellcaster in games, but this simple and addictive system here works really well.

So much creative use. Yeah, you might say there’s a lot more OP echoes you’re gonna use more often. But, I really like the more strategic/tactical combat. It’s honestly quite a refreshing change vs Link’s direct attacks.

This really does feel like a proper “Zelda” game and the music/atmosphere really takes me in.

Better than Botw/Totk for me? Possibly.

Top 3 of 2D Zelda adventures? Pretty easily.

I picked up my copy on Monday. I can’t wait for the weekend so I can finally play it uninterrupted. Work this week, been very busy, will be nice to unwind playing this.

  20. Solid 8/10. The framerate can be jarring but not unplayable. Not the biggest fan of the echoes UI as well as the conditional nature of her combat

My mom passed away in May and my first memories as a kid was running around the living room as she read the players guide and my dad would play the first Zelda on NES. Her birthday was the 29th so I had already taken the week off work to relax and when I realized this was coming out at the same time it was a no brainer. I’m about to enter what I think is the last dungeon and this game gmhas been so damn therapeutic for me. It’s really good and I highly recommend it if you were on the fence

  22. PhoenixNightingale90

This game is brilliant and unique. A great balance of classic Zelda with new Zelda open-ended puzzle solving. Frame rate was fine for me handheld, more drops while docked for sure, not enough to harm the experience for me.

  23. Existing365Chocolate

Not really enjoying it Sorting through echos to pick is just super clumsy as you collect more of them, the combat is beyond frustrating (not out of difficulty) as it feels like you’re more often fighting your echo’s dumb AI than the enemy

Occasionally the puzzles are nearly (though far too many are just ‘spawn item to jump and stack’), some of the times, but overall the core echo mechanic is more cumbersome in practice

Loving the game so far. I hope we get more like it or at least in the same art style and/or with Zelda as the main character.

Anyone else feel burnt out near the very end? Enjoyed most of my time with the game though
