While I think it’s ridiculous that Ubi split up the team, as I’ve heard only glowing things about the game, this is better than them all getting canned.

Assassin’s creed 15, 16, and 17

> Around a dozen have also moved on to Project Steambot, a **Rayman Remake** in development at Ubisoft Milan.
Please no more Remakes, Rayman 1 is a 2D platformer that is honestly very outclassed by Origins and Legends at this point, a remake of that can’t even hope to come close to those games. 2 and 3 still hold up very well IMO, they are great platformers that can just be re-released in HD.
I’ve been waiting nearly 20 years for Rayman 4. The Phantom Show DLC in Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope (Even as underwhelming as it was) makes me want another proper 3D platformer entry even more.
Crash Bandicoot 4, Psychonauts 2 and Astro Bot have all sold very well damn it and weren’t expensive to make. Why are all the companies (With the exception of Nintendo and SEGA) so allergic to make 3D platformers?

Ok, this is way better than all of them being fired. Still upset, but this is a best case scenario all things considered

Can we just have BG&E2 before anything new gets started?

Not surprising the internet freaked out on something that isn’t even that big a deal before we had all the facts

This game didn’t get a fair shot. It got shat on long before it released and flooded with annoying bad faith comments saying “I’ll buy it when it’s 5 bucks in a month or two lol”.
Wait until a couple of years when it’s regarded as a hidden gem and people are scratching their heads wondering why the project had stopped.

I feel like some just missed the game, because it was not advertised enough. Why not just make more trailers on YouTube? Let people know? And also remove the damn Uplay while you’re at it… That’s at least the reason why I haven’t bought any Ubisoft games in years.

What really burns my ass is this is an evergreen title. They’ll be making money off the game for a long ass time

Amazing game. Bad price point

The game is out. It’s fantastic. The Ubisoft pricing model rewards patient gamers. Zero incentive to buy immediately. It’ll be in the top 10-15 metriodvania game lists for a long time.
Why would there be an endless stream of content for this game, it’s done, makes sense that the devs would move on to other projects. I welcome the new games these fine game devs create in the future.
This isn’t news worthy.

I dont think its too bad, people moving to new internal projects after releasing something is common, no? And one of them is Rayman remake.

Make them port riders Republic and steep to switch. Steep was close enough that ubi thought enough that it could be ported that they put alot of effort into it and since then we got 2 forms if ai upscaling that could improve performance on such a port and make it easier. These two games would fill a big whole in the switch library(riders Republic in particular would fill the whole if the entire extreme sports genre by itself)
Edit:Also a naval combat game based off ac4.

I’m amazed ubislop has still long term projects going considering the financial disaster they are in.

It so weird because when this came out I saw articles how it was hitting record sales or made all its development costs back in just a few days. This game is insanely good btw.
Ubisoft is my #1 hated game publisher and I boycotted them after Assasins Creed Unity becuase of their lies and money grubbing bs.
But this game slaps.

Honestly, who gives a shit. Why is this news?

It’s so unfortunate. The game is a piece of art, but never had any type of marketing to bring new people into the genre.
