I went on NSO last night specifically to play Tetris, and couldn’t believe it wasn’t an option. Settled for Dr. Mario instead. Two days too early!

Considering the universal popularity of Tetris, Alexey should be the richest man alive. It’s good that he’s managed to regain control of his creation though.

Can’t wait to play it like the old days 🙂

guess it makes sense now why the most popular versions of tetris didnt appear in tetris forever

I want to celebrate with him but idk enough about the guy to be like “woo,” honestly

And I know I’ll get downvoted, but those are just my thoughts

What a classy way to do this Nintendo. Excellent job. Never change

Such a simple game but it is legitimately a 10/10 imo

Welp, time to watch The Gaming Historian’s story on Tetris video again. Seriously, I’ve watched it so many times already but it’s always a good watch. The man who went to Russia to get the console rights for Tetris and also ended up befriending Pajitnov was something else too. It took him YEARS before he finally started getting paid for his game though but i’m glad to see he’s still alive and absolutely insane that he’s advertising the game on Switch considering how long ago it originally launched.

Tetris 99 is a big reason I keep an NSO subscription so duh, having these classic versions is great. I will lament that I wish these versions (and other Nintendo Tetris titles) were just on Tetris Forever to make a more comprehensive collection but I suppose I will take what I can get.
