Nintendo Switch

Switch isn’t charging

Recently during christmas, my brother was gifted a nintendo switch. he didn’t use it much probably like 2 times since my mom gave it to him, but he came to me saying it wasn’t charging. at first i thought it may have been the outlet which didn’t make sense because we tried a different electronic on it and it worked. I tried connecting and disconnecting the the charger a few times and saw no results, i checked the port and there was nothing there so i tried another charger since it was type C and it just turned off. i tried using the same charger i used on the nintendo and it charged an old phone of mine. is there anything i can do to fix this?? (i’ve restarted it as well but it didn’t work.)

Use the proper charging cable, and it can take up to a full day to power on.

Use the official charger, keep it plugged in for like 15 minutes, your battery seems to be drained. After 15 mins re plug the charger the device should boot up.

When my switch was completely dead, it took I want to say like at least 30 minutes for it to actually turn back on to show it was charging. Seemed like forever. Just keep it plugged in for an hour and go back and check on it. Otherwise, I have no clue.

Is that a Nintendo charger? I noticed early on that it needs to be charged with official stuff. Try charging on dock.

Vita had a blinking light when the battery was completely drained so you knew not to touch for the next 30 mins or so until it turned solid. Just leave it plugged in for a bit.
