I’m personally more of a Dragon Quest fan than a Final Fantasy fan. Moreso because as I keep playing games from each series, I find that Dragon Quest is the Mario & Luigi to Final Fantasy’s Paper Mario. What I mean is that Final Fantasy does have higher highs but much lower lows for my liking, whereas with Dragon Quest you’re getting a consistently great time even if none of them are truly sensational.
But I’d like to hear your takes! Do you agree with my Mario RPG analogy? Or is there something I’m not seeing in Final Fantasy that you guys do?
