After much research and scouring reviews I bought a DOYOKY Epoch controller about 6 or 7 months ago. It's been the most comfortable controller I could find for my large hands.
I never had any major issues with it, though it did do a few strange things, that I realise now was stupid to ignore…
At first, the controllers would randomly switch themselves back on for a few seconds, lighting up.the room with a rainbow and then turning off again. It was sometimes funny, sometimes inconvenient, but I largely ignored it. As the months went by, the controllers became harder and harder to turn off. Putting the switch in sleep mode would put the controllers to sleep for about 3 seconds, then they would come on and never turn off. The battery on my switch began to drain ridiculously fast, even when in sleep mode too. I once charged it in the morning, went to work and when I came home, the switch was on about 40%
On top of that, a blinding light began to shine out from under the left thumbstick's light ring if I moved the thumbstick in a certain direction.
Like a fool in a toxic relationship I ignored the red flags and chose comfort over sense. I reached out to the DOYOKY support last week about the issues I've been having. After a few days of waiting I got a reply saying basically they know it happens, but they no longer stock the Epoch and have no plans to ever restock it… That's it…
