    I think the reason why most new releases are PvP centered is because the main league is GL and that allows low base stat pokemon to compete as long as they have good enough movesets.
    Being useful for PvE (raids, rocket, gyms) requires the main version of that pokemon to have a ridiculously high attack stat which is simply far less common than just "unique ish with decent type and stats." The vast majority of pokemon in the entire franchise are middling, while the best attackers for raids will always be pseudo legendaries and legendaries.

    Dachsbun is such a fun and awesome design, I'm glad it will have somewhere to be useful for them to be used. Raiding is so locked in on specific pokemon I feel like but Great League like lets a lot of mons breathe a little bit at least. Still gets pretty meta, but it's possible to just run whatever too to some extent.

    Just now I barely hit Veteran rank with a team of Serperior, Lickilicky, and Carbink (which I grinded my butt off for XLs). Really fun team to use, but so many teams I encounter have 2 or 3 Pokemon that counter my Carbink! I understand that open Great League is a Ground-type paradise, but this is starting to become less and less of a coincidence to me.

    I mirror traded and got a 3-12-15 fidough. I'm torn between investing in that one or holding out until the event is over to see if i can pull a better one. Its Great league rank 81
