Hey everyone. I got a Nintendo Switch Lite for Christmas this year. And it’s fantastic! BUT there’s one slight problem. I don’t have any game cards but I’ve had 2 in my mind that I think will be very fun;

MARIO KART 8;
I have actually played this game before with one of my friends nintendo switch herself. And it’s AMAZING and so addicting to play. I could literally play it for hours and never get bored, and I have actually won a few times. But it’s a fantastic racing game that you can even play by yourself which I like. As obviously you can’t play multiplayer on the switch lite nor on the TV. -
ANIMAL CROSSING;
Now, this one is very controversial as I have seen a LOT of people play this game. And they all say it’s probably the best game they have ever played on the switch, now I actually don’t know what I do on this game but if someone could please let me know what it’s about. That would be amazing, either way I think this game is another very addictive game that I could also play for hours.
So.. which one should I go for? They’re both fantastic games that im sure of. But I have to pick one of the other. Thank you if you do recommend which game I should choose.
P.S. My birthdays in March so I will update you all on what game I got. 🙂

If you’re not playing Mario Kart online I suggest animal crossing but I highly recommend Mario Odyssey as an option if you haven’t played it yet

I would get the game you think you will put the most hours into. That way it won’t seem so long to buy the next one.
Does your local library rent out Switch games? You could rent some of those to get an idea of what you’ll enjoy playing.
Well, i got both these games for Christmas (also having played Mario Kat before on my friends switch) and I’ve gotta say go for animal crossing. Im enjoying it WAY more than I thought i would have. Its genuinely really fun, so that’s what I’m recommending. you can always ask for MK for Christmas later on, too.
Animal Crossing on Switch is watered down so much. It’s a game about managing a village full of animal people and decorating it. Franchise is famous for having contents for years to enjoy but, Switch one only last like 2 weeks +- 1 week. And almost every aspect that made it special are gone. It’s now a glorified Instagram the game (if that existed).
If you have Nintendo online, then Mario Kart will be a way better choice. Also, I think people could give you better recommendations if you share your taste in games
Currently animal crossing and mario kart are on sale in the eshop at least in Germany.
I can recommend both!
But you must ask yourself if you prefer a fun racer or a slice of life simulation.
Def get odyssey. You have to. It’s the first game with it, should be easy to find. Kart is great but if your alone it sucks
