Ground Upgrade is a bit yikes for me since I only have two Ground-type units with cake. Here’s hoping a better upgrade shows up later in the run.

0:10 – Tech + Support vs. Fighting-weak Iris: EX-R Champion Hop / EX-R Trevor / EX-R Tierno
Got another Tech + Support Area 1, but this leads to a less favorable pattern than what I got last week, as it repeats two combos thrice.
1:44 – Support + Field vs. Blaine Damage Challenge: EX-R Variety Marnie / EX-R SS Morty / EX-R Variety Thorton
This stage was meant for Kabu and Larry. Thankfully with the area still being early, I could afford to run a sun team here even if it would power up the opponent’s moves.
4:37 – Strike + Sprint vs. Fairy-weak Drasna: EX-R SS Gladion / EX Hapu / Kahili
Fairy-weak on a Strike + Sprint stage means either SS Gladion or SS Nemona can go ham. I chose the former since Nemona’s sun is potentially more useful in a future stage.
6:00 – Tech + Support vs. Anabel Battle Challenge: EX-R SS Silver / EX-R Arven / EX Rika
This stage was meant for Summer Tate and Liza. Ended up using Rika here since I needed a status inducer (which surprisingly none of my Tech + Support units can do), and I figured I’d get the upgrade bonus while I’m at it.
9:41 – Tech + Field vs. Kiawe Battle Challenge: EX-R SS Diantha / EX-R SS Lyra / EX-R Avery
This stage was meant for SC Adaman and Irida. Quite scary without the upgrade bonus but thankfully I had SS Lyra’s guaranteed flinches to help me out.
14:50 – Strike + Sprint vs. Lucky Area: EX-R SS Lear / EX-R SS Nemona / EX-R Rei
Yay.
15:26 – Field + Sprint vs. Lusamine Battle Challenge: EX-R Mix Lucas / EX-R Anni 2024 Lillie / EX-R Chase
Can’t believe I got this BC two weeks in a row (it’s meant for Fall Iris and Allister). Luckily it was yet again in a combo where I can easily find counters for it, with both Lucas and Lillie being able to change the zone and Chase providing paralysis.
18:24 – Tech + Support vs. Dragon-weak Cynthia: EX-R NC Serena / EX-R NC Calem / EX-R SS Steven
Was kinda dreading this since I knew I would have to do without an upgrade bonus if I wanted to maximize my points, but thankfully I managed with Steven’s flinches, Serena’s debuffs, and Calem’s evasion.
21:54 – Strike + Sprint vs. Water-weak Malva: EX-R NC Silver / EX-R Arc Cynthia / EX-R Paulo
Didn’t use Sandstorm on Arc Cynthia coz there was a high chance that I’ll be using her again for Area 10 coz of the upgrade bonus, and it turned out to be a good decision. I had the same logic with getting TM MPR on NC Silver.
23:50 – Strike + Field vs. Argenta: EX-R Variety Hop / EX-R Arc Cynthia / EX-R NC Blue
Very safe clear at the cost of a lower point total, though I don’t think I would’ve been able to replace NC Blue with any Field + Strike unit I had. Oh well.

Can someone do the math? I have 264/400 Scout Points for the NC Blue. It’s January 8th. The scouts on the 25th (24th at 23:59 PM). Am I going to be able to get 12,600 gems before the 24th? I’m so stressed, NC Blue is shafting me!!
