Can Nintendo be pressured to get on Bluesky?
If you are unaware, Bluesky is the most popular alternative to Twitter/X that's cropped up. It has almost 30 million active accounts now, and is growing very rapidly.
Nintendo currently only uses Twitter/X for its social media to communicate. They do have an Instagram account but it's underutilized and just used to share casual content.
With more and more people leaving Twitter/X and joining Bluesky, do you think it will be possible for us to pressure Nintendo to follow? There are some Japanese game companies that are already there, like Capcom USA and Taito so it's not unrealistic to expect a Japanese company to make the shift as well.
As Twitter/X becomes a more and more toxic platform to associate with, I could see Nintendo wanting to separate themselves from the platform.
Unfortunately, Nintendo doesn't really have a feedback form we could use to contact them to get on Bluesky, but there may be other avenues to get them to go.
