They will announce games
I think it will mimic the presentation they did for the Switch 1. About an hour in length, give a third of the time to discussing hardware, a third to software features and enhancements, and a final third to games.
Pokémon red/blue, yellow on switch online.
Mainly cause I just spent money to buy game boy copies and therefore it would be really annoying to me.
Pokémon games will be in a separate app, no rewind or save states, and the Pokémon will be transferable to the Pokémon home app or whatever it’s called, idk I just got into Pokémon.
I hope they have some kind of hardware-based “boost mode” to upscale games and framerates. There’s already a smoking gun with XCXDE having a 60fps mode. Fingers crossed!
I made a (kind of cynical) bingo card based on past trends.

Give me liberty or give me Eternal Darkness 2
Gonna work harder at the old job so I can enjoy this direct with nothing else on the mind
The presentation will run 52 minutes.
There will be 2 segments talking about hardware separated by the first party game announcements.
The first segment will focus on the joycon 2 functionality. This will be followed up by a showcase of games that utilize those functionalities. 21 minutes
They will follow up covering the system, NSO and peripherals. As well as backward compatibility This will run for 15 minutes
The end of the direct will cover the big hitter games this at launch (Metroid, Zelda remasters, Mario kart, 3d Mario) with a quick montage of 3rd party titles scheduled for release. this will cover the remaining 16 minutes
Edit: Metroid prime 4 will be a centerpiece of the backward compatibility/enhancement segment as well
I want to see what “games are available, today!”
What’s that? I’ve been busy playing Xenoblade X. So there’s a switch 2 now huh? /s

I want to see Nintendo Karen return for Switch 2 presentation.
My prediction shedule
0-10 min: Switch 2 show off
11-16 min: Mario kart 9
17-24 min: Various first party titles.
25-31 min: Metroid 4
32-40 min: Third party
41-43 min: Mario Odyssey 2
I feel like I’m the only one who’s convinced they’re working on a new animal crossing for switch 2. Maybe not for the direct but considering NH stopped updates pretty early for such a busy game and pocket camp recently finished I just feel like they’re gearing up for a new game.
Nintendo Switch 2 will have games.
Please no forced DLSS.
I hope it’s an option for those who like it, but I’ve yet to find a game where DLSS actually looked better than simply running the game at lower settings.
Holy shit is it only a week away? Time flies.
Anyway i’m just here for Mario Kart.
Lets form an alliance I make a silksong prayer circle for you clowns if you make a FE4 remake prayer circle for me and my clowns
A new Golden Sun!
….I hope.
My predictions, from roughly most to least likely:
Mario Kart 9 will be the big name launch game. There will be one or two forgettable launch titles that focus on the new hardware capabilities that no one will talk about after the first year.
I don’t think we’re getting a new mainline Zelda game in the launch window, but a remaster of Wind Waker or Twilight Princess seems likely in the first year or so. 2026 is the 40th anniversary of the series.
$350 to 400 launch price.
A new mainline Mario game announced, possibly a 3d one, and it’ll use a new gimmick of the hardware.
DS games coming to NSO.
Pokemon Gens 1-3 ported and compatible with Bank, like 3DS did with 1-2.
And the absolute least likely event: Startropics. Either remakes or a new entry.
I predict that other launch games (not Mario kart) will be games that specifically will benefit from mouse controls. Like Splatoon 4 with a new mouse aiming mode, or Mario Maker 3. Maybe just a new Mario paint.
We might see a port of a sim game like the two-point series that can use mouse controls. Pie in the Sky? Balder’s Gate 3 with cross saves (after all, didn’t Larian already do that with Divinity 2?)
Metroid Prime 4 launch title
Mario Kart 9 is confirmed so obviously a proper trailer for that is a safe bet.
A new 3D Mario is also safe although im not sure if that will necessarily be a launch title or something that comes out around the holidays.
I think a surprise that is likely is a new Animal Crossing game. I think after the massive success of the last one they start doing main entries every console.
Pretty sure the word Switch 2 will be mentioned. Im excited!!!!
Can’t *beleive* I haven’t seen Silksong in these comments
Manifesting the return of the Badge Arcade. Also Etrian Odyssey Next Stage.
Some kinda functionality that allows for dual screens with the tv and switch 2. Like a Wii u but not the main thing.
This is mostly to allow for ds games to ported, and will make the switch 2 capable (without modding) of playing every Nintendo game ever released.
Pikmin 5 launch title🙏🙏 nintendo it’s not too late
Can someone give me hope for new Smash Bros announcement.
