Still no actual date, but it seems like they finally finished the game. Its been 84 years!

Definitely seems cool. I’m still hoping we get to see a much nicer looking version running on Switch 2. The art style is excellent, but the resolutions are meh. Would be a shame if this couldn’t be used as a first party showpiece for the new hardware.

They really need to release MP 2 and 3 remastered.

Wonder how she’ll lose her powers this time lol
Alive-Ad-5245
The fact they’ve just announced that the release date for Metroid Prime 4 is still just ‘2025’ suggests it’s probably not coming before the Switch 2, which is rumoured for June.
Which would make it odd if there actually wasn’t a Switch 2 version

The soundtrack is going to go so hard!!

Did anyone else find that really underwhelming. I was seeing this game as a big event release and probably to be announced as part of the switch 2 stuff. But that felt really low key and nothing special.

Nintendo does not know how to market metroid prime, the metroid fans will buy this but would anyome not a fan of the series watching this trailer want this game based on how they presented the game.
Crybe
I’m hoping the abilities will play more like Death Loops, and less like ‘wiggle remote to open door’.

That red and black suit is a banger of a design.
Nacklins
I really want this game to do well, but holy shit it was presented in the most boring way imaginable.
I think they avoided announcing a release date because this will have a Switch 2 version at console launch

I need to stress that I’m positive the full game will be fantastic. But this was a pretty generic and boring trailer.

I love Metroid but that was a very lame showing. Looks like a remaster of a GameCube game.
miimeverse
Was a pretty underwhelming trailer. Odd to focus “opening doors” and “scanning objects”. That’s like marketing OoT as a game where you find keys to open locks and get told what to do by Navi. Like yeah, these assessments aren’t wrong, but I’d be hard pressed to find a more boring way to convey the premise of a game.

Interesting that people are not liking the visuals on this one. I think it looks great for a game on the Switch

I don’t know man. Maybe it’s my fault for overhyping myself, but I did expect something more from this one.
I mean, more of the same isn’t bad. Better than nothing. But I thought that they were going to revive the franchise while trying something new.
That psychic ability shtick barely defines as a « gimmick ». The showing off the game part was pretty tame.
Again, not bad, just, nothing new, which is surprising from Nintendo. I really hope it makes enough money though. I don’t want to lose another space IP.
Really wish they would give starfox another shot

I’m hyped and will buy it unless it’s critically panned, but man that trailer was boring af. Awful marketing and tbh it has me a bit worried
DifficultyWithMyLife
The texture and lighting quality are fine, but the character and weapon animation feels somehow both stiff and weightless at the same time. Where did the Arm Cannon’s recoil go, and why is the Charge Beam so small?
The gameplay itself looks kind of gimmicky too, as others have said. I really hope there’s more to the game than the psychic hand thing, but if there is, why so hesitant to show other new mechanics? I get that they need to leave some stuff for players to discover for themselves, but they picked a very boring power to showcase for the majority of the video.
Also, I’m not a fan of the vibrato on the Samus Appearance Fanfare’s vocals. They’re supposed to be more ethereal voices, not in-your-face opera.
InTooDeep024
This looks extremely outdated, tbh.
VirtualAdagio4087
The narration made the trailer worse. Most of what he says doesn’t add anything, and it actually takes away from the “psychic abilities” because the narration implies it’s game changing, and then only shows her grab an orb and open a door. If we had seen those same things without a voice telling us about PsYcHiC pOwErS, they wouldn’t have seemed so lame.

Can’t wait to unlock the ability to open doors
