I loved the original on the PS1. A fantasy historical epic that spans multiple generations with two main stories – one focusing on the exiled heir of the kingdom, and another a family line of Diggers (essentially, treasure hunters).
It's a great game if you like historical tales and don't get attached to one character too much ๐

still have my ps1 copy of this. the music alone is worth it tbh.
I have been waiting actual decades for another shot at this game.
I remember borrowing this game on PS1 from my cousin. Got to that part where you go on a solo mission with a single character of your choosing. I chose to play as my favorite character, and this character ends up dying at the end of the mission. Then later, I found out that only this character will die in that mission if chosen. Any other character would have been fine and lived. I got so upset that I quit playing and gave the game back to my cousin. Perhaps I should give this game another chance?
I finished the Gameboy games years ago and keep meaning to get into the rest of the series. I swear it seems like they are constantly releasing remasters for this series. I had no idea it was popular enough to justify so many releases (or maybe I’m just imagining it).
Wait, do you build teams of characters with different skills and use them to fight opposing teams of characters?
Will the save data unlock Deathbringer 2 in the Legend of Mana remaster? ๐ย
Was hoping for another remake ala Romancing SaGa 2 – just finished playing that and had a blast. Probably unreasonable to assume they could make another one so soon though.
