    The Switch 1 was about that long and I would assume they need less time to convince us of the concept and new features compared to 2017, so more time for games.

    I’m guessing pre-orders will go up tomorrow. Tomorrow’s date has been a rumor for a while anyway.

    Perfect! I set up an hour meeting with myself in my outlook for an hour when the direct starts and plan to find an empty office to park in and watch the direct. Cant wait! Sucks being at work but glad i can find a way to still see it live.

    I already got one of the main things I wanted: backwards compatibility.

    After the WiiU debacle, I wonder how much time/how many words they’ll dedicate to making sure we understand this is a new console, not simply a new model or accessory/expansion?

    On one hand, not that shocking, considering it’s about Nintendo’s next console, and they’ll have to show how ir works, what makes it different from the first Switch and what games it will have.

    But on the other hand, **damn**. I’m excited.

    For those who remember, where could you preorder the switch when it was announced in 2017? I want to preorder since its likely to be THE thing this year and even if I don’t like the launch slate of games it being backwards compatible means I am going to get it.

    and look: they already advanced general info like the Nintendo Today app, the Virtual Game Cards and the Zelda movie release date. which means tomorrow direct will be PURE NS2 JOY 🥹

    My son has his class presentation starting 15 minutes into the Direct, so I’ll catch maybe 10 minutes at the start and then watch properly with him in the car driving home after, hopefully without too many spoilers from my friends who will all watch it live.
