  1. My question is, if I already own the DLC on Switch 1, does that carry over to the Switch 2 Edition or would I have to buy it again?

  2. No_Establishment7368

Nintendo just keep making the worst decisions with the switch. 2.. why wouldn’t you include all the DLC for the game if you are re releasing it.. strange

  3. TheOnlyPomegranate

At the price it was listed that would be a discount and if you think nintendo does discounts I don’t know what to tell you

  4. John_YJKR

Nintendo out right dislikes it’s consumer base it seems.

  5. Cool. Another reason to not buy a Switch 2. Sick of Nintendo’s anti-consumer practices.

  6. Free_Accident7836

Isnt the DLC included in switch online premium anyway like the mario kart tracks? or am i mistaken?

  7. nekosama15

f right off what!? Just so they can release a complete edition later? Or not? Who even knows? Ugh.

  8. Damn good thing I have it already then, that’s the only good dungeon in the entire game (love the exploration etc but the divine beasts suck as dungeons.)

  9. ExtremisEdge

Running the game you already own and paid already should just run better on newer hardware. Imagine if steam charged you for upgrading your graphics card.

Man, I usually am what people might call a Nintendo defender, but even I think some of y’all in here do some hilarious mental gymnastics to defend this.

The dlc should’ve been included. Period.

  11. OrangeStar222

Never regretted buying a season pass as much as when I bought BotW, but it’s bullshit that it’s not included in a game that’s 8, almost 9 years old.

  12. tallpudding

Gonna be a tiny 10 bone upgrade for me.

Minus the 5 to 600 for the switch 2, lol. Definitely snagging… after a couple months.

  13. PandaPsychiatrist13

Why do we keep releasing the same fucking games over and over? WTF

  14. ChippieBW

On the other hand, the Switch 2 edition of TOTK DOES include all the DLC.

  15. So its a full price incomplete edition of a 8 year old game.
Do we see the pattern with Nintendo greed.

  16. Nintendo: “Because pressing a button to increase resolution is hard.”

  17. StupidIdiot1954

Fucking Christ! What the hell is happening? Nintendo has never been generous, not by a long shot. They view their products as more valuable and treat all of their games equally in terms of price. But are you fucking serious? This just feels like scraping every penny out of us!

  18. ConfidentMongoose

90 euros for the switch 2 copy of a 10 year old game, and I have to pay an extra 20 to have the complete version… #$@& off Nintendo

  19. Darksky60

We have a product for you if you want the DLC. It’s called Switch 1  /s

    -Nintendo

This is just Nintendo being greedy.

  20. Are they going down the Wii U route again?

I know the problems aren’t the same, but these decisions are insane.

  21. Lmao. 20 bucks more for the same 8 years old game. Go home Nintendo

  22. DoomedKiblets

That’s some bullshit right there.nintendo seriously stop it

  23. koteshima2nd

    But seriously, why?

This just comes off greedy which I hope is not the intention

  24. emtemss714

I’m sorry but that’s fucking absurd. I just don’t understand how they keel making such small, bad decisions. There’s no one giant issue for me, but goddamn this feels like death by a thousand cuts.

  25. Linkbetweentwirls

God damn Nintendo, I can’t imagine the DLC sells that much these days, just put it in the switch 2 edition geez

  26. Pure scummy behaviour by Nintendo. I’m voting with my wallet but unfortunately I really don’t think many people will. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet were prime examples of why Nintendo can and will get away with it.

  27. How I see this, and I’m not defending Nintendo but whatever, people have had since literal launch day of the Switch 1 to buy BotW, realistically you either have it by now or had no intention on everything playing it so why are there so many people complaining? If you don’t like the price don’t buy it

  28. valorisenergy

No DLC in the Switch 2 version?

Isn’t that a missed opportunity for new players to get the full BotW experience right out of the gate?

  29. Man looks like this switch 2 launch I won’t include my money

  30. Sounds like the best deal will be to buy the first game second hand, then an additional 10$ for the upgrade.

  31. easeypeaseyweasey

Surprised they aren’t doing a master edition and charging out the hoo ha for it.

  32. honestly i dont think those switch 2 editions will sell a lot, even more botw. they are too expensive and dont have a lot of new content aside from kirby and MP. I think over time they will change their strategy with those type of titles.

  33. adingdingdiiing

Look here’s the thing. The focus of this is the visual upgrade and the performance enhancements. They’re not selling a “deluxe” version of the game. I don’t know why a lot of people are pretending like this is new. It’s the Switch game with an upgrade pack.

For example, did you get the Burning Shores DLC when you upgraded your Horizon Forbidden West PS4 copy to the PS5? Did you get Phantom Liberty when you upgraded your PS4 copy to the PS5? No. In like manner, does the Forbidden West PS5 copy come with the DLC included? Nope.

Again, this isn’t a “Definitive” or a “Deluxe” edition. It’s a Switch game with an upgrade pack. It’s nothing new.

  34. You think nintendo are being bad now, nintendo have never been one to stop until they stop getting away with it.

Only a matter of time before they start striking nintendo videos again

  35. NineSwords

Makes you really wonder how much is the goodwill of users worth that they are losing by nickel and dimeing them that much?

  36. I hope you are ready to pay full $70 or 80€ for an eight year old game WITHOUT it’s DLC.
