15 minutes? That’s shorter than I was expecting

  2. BornByFireandFlames

Focusing only on one game, 15 minutes makes sense. Hoping we get a better idea on the fullness of the world.

  3. I honestly love that Nintendo announces these things the day before it happens

  4. Skullghost

I got to play a bit of World at the Switch 2 Experience, and it was a lot of fun! Can’t wait to learn more about anything I missed during my time with it and can’t wait to actually play it!

  5. thumpydumpy

ive spent more time in a mcdonalds drive through

  6. Enraged__Koala

Oh boy, I can’t wait to see what the Youtube stream chat will have to say about this direct >!/s!<

  7. THE_HERO_777

Oh god, the chat is gonna be ugly to look at with all the “DROP THE PRICE” comments isn’t it?

  8. Spider_Boyo

Sounds short but it’s probably enough, I’ll be tuning in at 2pm for sure

  9. Only 15 minutes for the big announced surprise of so much unbelievable content, because of which they set the price so high? The Smash Bros direct back then was 40 minutes long. I have a sneaking feeling that in the end it will just be a normal Mario Kart with 32 tracks and two or three additional fun modes, which in no way explains the price. Hope I’m wrong.

I just need to know the price in the US. If they are upping the price then I guess I’ll enjoy my Switch OLED longer.

  11. Xenobrina

15 minutes, some of which is guaranteed to be recapping known info. This game is about to have nothing to do 💀

  12. MarcsterS

I’m guessing we’ll get a quick rundown on the modes, official reveal of “ground tricks”, and how Online will work.

  13. adrenaline4nash

Know what racing game has 10 times the content? Forza Horizon. Just saying. Hopefully it comes to Switch.

  14. Bloodwalker09

Please note, there will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor during this presentation.

If they truly confirm that every character from the Mario franchise is pmaya le in this game, I’ll lose my mind.

At first I thought just the Kamek Orb item made you change into a random Mario enemy. But then I saw footage of people starting the race as Moo Moo. This indicates you can pick them specifically before a race starts.

So if I can be some of my favorite 1 off characters from old games, like Rip Van Fish from Super Mario World or Ninji from SMB2 then that’d be crazy. I mean, there is video of someone being Coin Coffer. So the character pool must be vast.

  16. 15 minutes is 1/4th the time used to unveil and show the debut of switch 2.

Thinking they can’t show enough new things in 15 minutes is really cynical.

It would be the perfect time to announce preorder dates and price change if it’s changing!

  18. Only 15 minutes? I hope Nintendo makes the most of that small timeframe.

  19. Super-Eoghan

I’m just hoping we can link up multiple consoles, and not be limited to two people per console.

  20. I wonder if it’ll show off why they think it’s worth $80

  21. The hours upon hours of gameplay all over Youtube. What more is there to say?

  22. HistoryWillRepeat

I’m really hoping for a preorder date announcement during or after the direct. The wait is killing me.

  23. UnintentionalWipe

I’ll be secretly streaming this while at work. Hopefully it continues the hype for the game.

  24. xHypermega

15 minutes is fine I guess. What will they show? Probably some new tracks and characters, some other gamemodes they might be waiting to reveal (the battle modes for example) and online stuff

  25. superyoshiom

Ideally I’d like them to use this Direct to flesh out completely new info, although I expect they’ll be covering a lot of stuff we already know.

Here are some (admittedly disappointing) predictions

    – Explaining that the food gives you costumes

    – Explaining Kamek unlocks characters

    – Explaining about the rail grinding, wall jumping, and tricking while driving straight

    – Maybe some new characters (please just give me Diddy and Funky dawg)

    – Probably a short tease at whatever single-player mode there is

So all but the last two of these are things we already know from the existing gameplay, so I might keeps expectations lower. You could argue that this is the direct they convince people of the 80 dollar price tag but honestly whoever’s buying this game is probably already convinced by this point (myself included).
