I find it interesting how much they’re focusing on the mouse and camera. Both cool features, but I expect both will only be used fully by a few games.
They need to be careful not to do a Wii U with the advertising where people think the Switch 2 is just a Switch with a mouse and camera. Neither are revolutionary features, and I don’t think they’ll come to define the Switch 2.

This already failed by not mentioning that it’s a new generation console and that it’s not just an original Switch revision. I mean, I get that the number 2 should be enough, but you have to cater to the lowest common denominator here. There are already people thinking you can play Switch 2 games on Switch 1. They downplay the games, too, emphasizing features that aren’t must-have. Also, they should’ve had an asterisk on screen mentioning that the camera is sold separately.

I think we can all agree that the console price is totally fair. The game price I worry about, but I’m sure Sony will follow suit soon.

I think it’ll be a big hit in the 7-14yr old range of friends playing Minecraft, mario kart, and fort nite online together.

They’ve been real clear on marketing this time around, glad to see. The pricing on games has been a sore spot though one I see far more often from core fans than actual regular customers. For them, it’s more of a “Ouch, that’s rough, but I’ll still probably get this,” sort of reaction, even though I do wish things were a bit cheaper myself.

I am excited for the mouse feature and how it seamlessly switches from mouse to joystick. Civ 7, splatoon 4 will be epic and of course Metroid.
