Nintendo Switch

Is The Switch 2 Pro Controller Hall Effect or TMR Or Not???

I love my Switch and played it so much that I went through three Nintendo Pro controllers and two sets of joycons which all failed to stick drift. Then I bought an 8BitDo Ultimate controller with hall effect joysticks and never loocked back. That controller has lasted 3 years of solid gaming without giving me any issues whatsoever.

I will gladly purchase a Switch 2 Pro controller provided Nintendo confirm whether the joysticks are either Hall Effect or TMR. After all the issues with stick drift on the original Switch controllers, if they've done nothing to address this then as far as I'm concerned their intentionally peddling e-waste, knowing they will break in the hope that we'll just keep buying more.

If that's the case, then Nintendo are not smart. They make most of their profit from the games and should want gamers to be spending their money there and not on failing tech. I really cannot understand why they wouldn't immediately address this with the reveal of the Switch 2 Pro Controller and it makes me concerned that they've done nothing to fix it.

For those who need the explination of how analog sticks work vs hall effect sticks
