more and more likely this will be a day one purchase

I’d advice everyone to wait ordering this game to see how it actually runs.

Until that PS Switch thingy, then they will claim “Sony PSP 3 is the best way to play on the go”
RedditIsGarbage1234
I have 250 hours on PC. I have a rog ally that can play on the go.
So why the hell am I still tempted to get it on switch?!
rubenescaray
I played it Sunday in Dallas, I can confirm it looks good docked, I can only imagine it will look better in handheld and play fantastically as well.
I love the new and bigger joysticks, so this should be pretty good to play handheld.
TracyLimen
Realistically if you want portable/handheld SW2 is where is at for the mainstream market
Deck may have steam but sales wise is not even a competition with 4ish million in 3 years vs Nintendo preorder numbers alone isn’t on the same dimension

Will never trust this company ever again on day 1. The entire first yeah after initial release was a public embarrassment.

I played it on Switch 2 this weekend during the Nintendo Experience in Toronto, I was told that this was “the latest version with all patches”, not sure if they knew how old the actual build was, but the game ran really smoothly considering it’s the portable handheld, will definitely be picking it up for Switch 2

Is there some kind of Motion Control? They mention using one of the Joycons to fight with a Katana, so maybe something like Skyward Sword or what we can see in VR games?
Also the Rectangle that appears on in some combat scenes on top of the enemy seems new could that be related?
I havent played on Console so maybe thats just a Controller thing in general but seems new to me!
ghost_lanterns678
Best way to play on the go? Well, I’ll compare it to my Steam Deck once I get the Switch 2 and I’ll hold them to their statement!
RottedHuman
Oh no, the steamdeck diehards are going to have something to say about this.
mikechi4809
It runs really well on the steam deck so I’m not expecting issues on the switch 2. Very fun game to play handheld.
justcallmeryanok
Curious to how stable the framerate is
OnceInABlueMoon
I’m playing this on the PS5 right now, game rules
Logical-Bicycle-3603
I wonder if CS projekt red will patch the witcher 3 to run better on Switch 2 for free or if it will be like a 10 dollar upgrade like the ps5. Either way it totally deserves it. It just bearly ran on switch 1.
Acrobatic-Butterfly9
I think it makes sense. IMO PC version is built for desktop while Sw2 version is built for Sw2, a handheld console
ElectronicBacon
Has anyone played this on Deck? How does it run?
sayiangumball
I have it on my PS5.. but I feel having it on the go would be better. Sometimes I just don’t wanna be sitting in front of the TV.
Megaten1017
I wonder if we’ll get an improved version of the Witcher 3. Maybe then I’ll actually be motivated enough to finish the game!
ComeonmanPLS1
Honestly Cyberpunk just isn’t the kind of game I want to play “on the go”. Fair play to CD Projekt for managing to port it over for those who want it though. I guess that kinda tells us that a Switch 2 is more powerful than an Xbone or a PS4 considering how shit Cyberpunk was on those consoles.
pejic222
So better than any of the pc handhelds
Makes sense, way more optimizing goes into a port like this
giibeto
If I hadn’t beaten it already it would have been ideal
Especially with cross save. Was alternating between steam deck and ps5
-autoprime-
The only over portable option I can think of are handheld pcs like the steam deck and Rog ally, or the playstation portal. Both of them are really bulky to carry outside, so switch 2 definitely takes the cake for best way to portably play, regardless of graphics
Entire-Assistance842
Red Steel 3?
Nuprakh
And it will support cloud saves, so I can finally go for m 2nd run on Pc/Switch2 – nice
SkellyMania
This is one of the “new to me” Switch 2 games I’m looking forward to. The others being Elden Ring and FF7R.
martinsuchan
I really want to know the comparison between NS2 and the Steam Deck in terms of performance.

Better than on my Steamdeck?
Swordofsatan666
Wow i never thought a Nintendo system would be the best portable way to play it, i kinda figured Steam Deck would have been the best way.
Icy-Two-1581
I played it on the steamdeck. For sure is really enjoyable on the go, but I think the experience on a pc/ps5 is much better just due to how beautiful the game is the better textures power. It’s truly different experiences in good and bad ways playing on the go vs on better hardware imo and if you have the time I’d say try both
BuzzTNA
Been waiting years to play this, (I have PS5 and Xbox but not the time to sit down and play it) so can’t wait to play this on the go more.
MommasDisapointment
I finally beat it after 3 years in my backlog. It’s fucking badass
Jmdaemon
Yea I would hold off on that claim holding water. Wait till the digital foundry tear down happens. My performance went from not bad to pretty fucken impressive with the FSR3 mod.
LiliVonShtupp69
Idk, it runs and looks pretty good on my ROG Ally… Only way the Switch 2 could be considered the better way to play it is in terms of battery life
itarrow
Does anyone know if it support cross saves with PC/Steam if I have also a CD Projekt account ?
I started playing on PC and I would hate to start back from scratch, but I would love the portability of the Switch…
Falchion92
I have this on my Series X but I definitely don’t mind getting it on Switch 2. I can finally save Takemura this time!
bushmecj
Does it include the DLC?
DiverOk9454
All I want is for them to drop a performance update for witcher 3.
