I sadly know why he was actually doing that and you should have called him out and told him to get his supervisor over there. That was unacceptable behavior.
As part of my store's safety team, I know masks aren't a big deal for us. Criminals almost never wear masks unless it's gonna be a "smash and grab" situation. Even then, that's not likely gonna happen at a mall. Too much distance and too much lost time.
Seriously, next time tell a person acting like that that you want to get their supervisor over there. It's the only way to reign in an ego like his.
I sincerely recommend using Community Day's extended lure duration to put down Mossy Lures. I don't know how they will work during Community Day, but putting them in at the tail end while the event is live gives you nearly 3 hours after Community Day instead of 30 minutes. Essentially it's a DIY event you can tack onto Community Day at the end.
BTW, make sure you reboot your phone after completely force stopping Pokemon Go before an event. It should help control memory issues that can mess up your spawns.
Set Mossy Lures before the Community Day is over if there is stops available. You’ll get the 3 HOUR bonus

Thank you for letting us know about Pokemon (such as Eeve) in the lure that gives apples. I was confused and never caught any of these mons before today. I got enough sweet and tart apples for both evolutions. One thing we didn't know – during Community Day we still got applin and apples off the mossy lures.
Can confirm they despawn real quick but the other spawns will sit their for 5 minutes 😅
Also can confirm needing to be close to lures. I found out during rookidee. I always thought throw a lure, walk between lures and the monster would show up on the radar… Nope. they might spawn but you can't see them on radar unless your close enough for your blue encounter ring to touch. Sucks don't know how many lures I've wasted over the years
Nah my phone would force close the app cause it was hot, and when I would reopen I would have 6-7 apples there. Some would disappear after catching others. And them spawning right on other MONs was annoying. When I’d go to catch the mons to get them off the apples, the apple would respawn.
Its a scam, scam that you buy lures. There are random mons from those apples, along with some items. I have no stops near me so no way for me to drop 30min lures one after another.
How can you Identify someone with a full mask? It's against the law. If you came in my place of business. I would ask you to leave. I have that right.
RE: LURES. You're right AK. I have 2 pokestops i can spin from my apartment. When lured, the nearest one spawns pokemon but the further one doesn't. I believe the white circle that eminates out around your avatar must completely cover the round boundary under the lured pokestop. My white circle barely touches the closest part of the boundary circle under the further lured pokestop.

The items drop when you catch the Pokemon is very similar to how Gimmighoul catches would drop their coins. They've had the ability to drop items this whole time since they released Gimmighoul.
There is a spawn distance for Pokemon to stops that is shorter than the distance needed to spin stops. I live on a pokestop in my complex but I am not close enough to it to lure it and get the spawns. For this event I noticed however it was not needed to spacial rend to reach the spawns they would still show apples if lured.
I got two apples and they disappeared
Over hour – two people doing lures at 5 stops. Barely anything. We tried another spot and same. Also had incense on jic. Caught very few applin. I did full research and paid. Not even close to evolving once how am I supposed to do 2? Idk how anyone was able to. If I knew I would have tried multiple days. But hard to do. Other poke gave some but wasted balls and time.
I got a lot and a 96 lucky so I’m good lol 😂

This was the worst event ever. It's like they barely spawned. I had to use the reload game trick to force spawns
I also seem to think this was a scam to get everyone to buy mossy lures, 2 of us playing together, we put mossy lures in stops next to each other, only the person who put the mossy lure in could see the spawn and we only got 1 spawn the whole time of the applin. plus there are 2 types of the spawn one that is just the tart . I will try the shut down the game and reopen thing today , overall with incense and mossy lures only have found 4 applin .
