Metagross is one of the worst pokemon to use as a tank due to its lack of .5 second fast attack. If you use Metagross as a tank you are going to hold your team back and be a liability. Only use Metagross to attack in the dmax phase and immediately swap back out to a proper Machamp tank like Gengar with shadow claw or Venusaur with vine whip.

Venusaur seems like the best tank… poison against fighting, .5s fast move, and grass resists rock moves.
