You should be able to purchase more controllers by having a family account already set up with members, each account pulls the online requirement from the main but should still be allowed to purchase their own controller.

will the switch 1 gamecub controller no longer work on switch 2? I’m trying to understand why everyone is fighting to get this version.

FINALLY got mine. I’ve been in line for over an hour.
I waited about 7 mins and got one just now. I had my tablet and phone on the page. I managed to get it on my tablet even after fumbling another 7 mins entering CC info but on my phone it showed item limit reached the same time it showed available on my tablet. Perhaps because I was under the same account. I only want 1

Got the GameCube controller still waiting on my switch invite. lol. I can pretend to play it.
I refreshed the page at like 12:59PM ET and the button came right up to order. Had my order complete by like 1:04. Seems like I somehow juuuust beat the line.

If you’re seeing “Item Limit Reached” double check and make sure you are signed in to your Nintendo account! I just purchased one successfully after initially seeing that.
Got in line at 1:55 pm central on mobile. Came home at 2:15 and got in line on computer. Was able to buy from computer after a few minutes.
Mobile was still in queue. So take that for what it is worth.
Don’t lose hope y’all. I was 44 minutes late to this post and I refreshed the page on my phone, took out the trash and recycle, came back and it reloaded and let me buy the controller. I probably only waited 20-25 minutes and this was about 10 minutes ago.
