Nintendo Switch 2 has a ‘Search for Controllers’ feature to locate Joy-Con 2 controllers
News comes from Nintendo Today App:
The controller you are looking for will vibrate and make a sound. Note that the controller will not be detected if it has not been paired with your system, out of batteries, or out of range.

I might be wrong, but, isn’t this already a feature on the regular Switch?
Herb-Alpert
Switch has it too

They always show off the UI in light mode. Do people really prefer it to dark mode? Flash bang central.

Sounds like it turned on the microwave too… Handy!

They have to be trolling at this point. Are they going to show how to turn on the system?

Dang if the vibration is really that loud when it’s searching, that seems a lot more powerful than the switch 1.

I love how photogenically that joycon was hiding

I mean come on dude…. couldn’t you rummage a bit through the pillows and look for the joycon yourself?? /s

With that sound make sure not to lose one at the airport.

Embarrassing story, I remember back when I used the Wii for Netflix back in the day. I absent-mindedly stuck the controller in my pocket of a baggy pair of pants while grabbing a drink, came back and couldn’t find the controller.
Whenever I jumped on the bed, the video would play and pause so I tore apart the bed and everything else nearby to find it. After a long time, I sat down frustrated and put my arms on my legs, really pissed at not being able to find it. Then my arm felt it in my pocket. I felt like a doofus and really would like a controller finding feature, so this is cool for me!

best feature of you have kids that constantly misplace controllers 😄
BunOnVenus
I have a comical amount of stuffed animals on my bed and always loose my controller so this is super helpful, switch 1 worked well too but the rumble could be muffled easily

Is the switch 2 home page really that similar to the current switch?

With the Switch 1, even with the vibration (that did indeed make noise ), it was still hard to find them sometimes when they were lost. Having them vibrate AND beep is so much better.

It ain’t much im aware, but I’ll say I do like the ui sound effects more than switch 1

Sounds like an old dot matrix printer

Why did I think the pads would fly off because of the joystick vibration? 🤣
ArchTemperedKoala
I was expecting the Joycon to burst through those pillows somehow..

This exists on the switch 1
VanitasFan26
This is nothing new. The Switch 1 had this feature.

All I’m seeing is that the next smash can have a character voice line come out of the controller again
