Nintendo will lower the price of selected Nintendo published switch games and dlcs in Hong Kong eShop and My Nintendo Store starting June 1st

Regional pricing done right I guess. Hong Kong has been higher priced region for so long but the pricing of Switch 2 games are surprisingly comparably lower. Now some switch 1 games are dropping as well maybe to be bundled with uograde pack in June. Right now TOTK is 499 HKD and the upgrade pack is 50 HKD.

I don’t understand why people have been complaining about the prices when they are pretty much normal and expected. I thought it would be more expensive tbh

meanwhile in Latam they upped the prices for Nintendo-published games to the retail one

So it’s a non-zero chance that they’ll lower regional prices. Now if only they open an eshop where I am

Apparently, Nintendo has partnered with JD.com to sell their products directly in China. This is probably a result of that.

Meanwhile in Europe 90€ Mario Kart. And all physical games cost 10€ more for some reason

  7. Nintendo Selects needs to return. But to be fair, it could lead to Switch games cannibalizing the sales of similar Switch 2 titles like “Why buy Hyrule Warriors AoI for $80/70 when AoC or DE are $20?”

So still way cheaper that European pricing – 499 HKD is €56.27. It’s €69.99 in Europe.
