  1. Can’t wait for those voice clips that will get recycled for 30+ games from now on

They went with cheaper talent. Classic scummy Nintendo.

There’s a certain type of Nintendo fan that needs to be studied.  The ones in my replies. 😂

Tragic ;-; I met her before and she’s so nice. Going to miss her being Peach.

“So that’s it? After 20 years, ‘so long, good luck’?”

“I don’t recall saying good luck.”

  5. Why? Was she too good for the roles?

Is the plan to replace her with someone worse but cheaper, like they did with Martinet?

This makes me so sad! Even after almost two decades I always considered her “new Peach” since I grew up with Jen Taylor but I loved her voice nonetheless. I hope she still does conventions with Charles Martinet, I want to meet them both.

  7. What a bummer. I can kinda understand Nintendo wanting to get a younger cast that will voice these characters for a long time to come, but I wish they handled this with a lot more respect.

Nintendo doesn’t want one person to be their character I bet. This way it’s cheaper and then it takes away the voice actors bargaining power since they can’t say I’m the voice of X.

I mean, lets be honest here, theres prpbably only a collective 5 minutes of voice work across her whole career (putting all of it end to end, minimal gaps)

Mario got its overhaul with Wonder/MKW, Donkey Kong with MKW/Bananza I wouldn’t be surprised if all the voice actors change.

    Rosalina did too it seems.

    What the hell Big N?

It’s fine to recast, but you’d think Nintendo would have a little decency to tell longtime VA’s of their flagship characters that they are moving in a new direction and appreciate them for their years of work and dedication to the role prior to them effectively finding out they were recast before confirmation.

Well, at least this voice actor actually directly confirmed it instead of the song and dance around the original voice actor of the Mario characters.

  14. I didn’t even know that’s sad she’s a legend.

  15. Beta_Codex

I mean she rarely talks in dialogue anyway except screaming for mario. Iconic but I hope the new one does the same magic as the original.

I found very sad how little does Nintendo seems to care for the VA’s

  17. We need a new term for Nintendo, like wholesome washing. Because in reality behind the cute characters is the bottom line and an army of litigating lawyers

  18. Pepe-DiscipleofKek

The way Nintendo has been treating Charles, Samantha, and the rest is truly disgraceful.

It’s infuriating how companies just replace voice actors like this. Especially when they make it clear how little the actors mean to them or the actual projects they’re working on.

    18 years

    “Wow so since the 90s?”

    “No… 2007”

    “Ow my back”
