You can mix and match switch 1 & 2 joycons as its own pair
Was trying to connect my joycons and accidentally paired a new and old joycons as a set. IDK why anyone would want to but it’s a feature we have I guess

You know someone is going to make an adapter for the Switch 1 controllers to connect to Switch 2.

How comfortable is it though? I imagine it would be like wearing two different size shoes at the same time.

This could possibly be useful if you pair a left JC2 with a right JC1 since the right JC2 lacks an IR camera. Not sure if this would work in practice though

If you happen to be playing Switch Sports, one joycon could be in the leg strap and you could hold the JC2
